These are the basic terms for using Grown Local (the "Site"). Using the Site means you've read and agreed to them.

The Site is provided as-is

All listings on the Site come from the USDA Local Food Portal, a public dataset. We do not independently verify the information. Hours, seasons, accepted payments, products, operating status, and even whether a business still exists can change at any time without the USDA or Grown Local knowing. Always confirm with the farm or market directly before you drive out.

The Site is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

Limit of liability

We are not responsible for interactions between you and the businesses listed on the Site. We are not responsible for losses arising from inaccurate or outdated listings, closed businesses, unavailable products, or any decision you make based on information on the Site. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim related to the Site is limited to zero dollars, which is what you paid to use it.

Acceptable use

Don't scrape the Site at abusive rates, don't attempt to break or abuse it, and don't use it in a way that would harm the businesses listed on it. Automated scraping for personal or commercial redistribution of the derived data is not permitted — the underlying data is public, so fetch it directly from the USDA portal instead.

Third-party services

The Site links to, and may load resources from, third parties — Google Maps, Google AdSense, Cloudflare, and FormSubmit.co. When you follow a link or interact with a third-party service, their terms and privacy policies apply.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The effective date at the top reflects the most recent change. Continued use of the Site after changes go into effect means you accept the updated terms.
