Privacy Policy

This page covers what Grown Local collects about visitors, who we share it with, and what choices you have. It's written in plain English on purpose. If something isn't clear, please contact us.

What we collect

We try to collect as little as possible. Specifically:

• Aggregate visit data via Cloudflare Web Analytics. It records page views, referrers, and rough geography without cookies and without anything that identifies you personally. You can read Cloudflare's description here.
• Your location, only when you ask for it. When you click Use my location on the search page, your browser may prompt you to share your coordinates. Those coordinates stay in your browser; they're used locally to compute distances and are not sent to any server. Refresh the page and they're gone.
• Contact-form submissions. If you use the contact form, your name, email, and message are sent to us through a third-party mail forwarder (FormSubmit.co). We use these only to reply. See Third-party services below.
• Ad-related data (when ads are live). When Google AdSense is enabled on the site, Google may place cookies or use similar identifiers on your device to serve ads. You can manage this via the consent banner that appears in regions where consent is required, or through Google's ad settings.

What we don't collect

• We don't require accounts or logins.
• We don't track users across the web with our own cookies.
• We don't sell user data to anyone, ever.
• We don't store location coordinates you grant to the browser.

Third-party services

• Cloudflare hosts the site and provides the privacy-friendly analytics described above.
• FormSubmit.co receives contact-form posts and forwards them to our inbox. Their privacy policy lives at formsubmit.co/legal/privacy-policy.
• Google AdSense (when enabled) serves ads and may use cookies per Google's policies at policies.google.com. In regions that require it, a consent banner governs personalized advertising.
• Google Maps is opened in a new tab when you click Get directions. Once you're on maps.google.com, Google's own privacy policy applies.

Your rights

If you'd like us to delete any information you've sent via the contact form, just email us back and ask. For analytics data, we only have aggregate stats — there's nothing user-specific for us to find or delete. For ad personalization, use the consent banner or your browser's ad-settings controls.

Children

Grown Local is a general-interest directory and is not directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect information from children.

Changes

We'll update the "last updated" date at the top whenever this policy changes. Substantive changes will be noted prominently on the home page for at least a week.
